BEPPE GAMBETTA with special guest YANN FALQUET
"TERRA MADRE"
Beppe Gambetta is a guitarist composer and folksinger inspired by roots music from both sides of the Ocean. Gambetta is a Genoa-born musical traveler, a virtuoso of the acoustic Flatpicking style who has found much inspiration in meeting and collaborating with artists from different cultures. In this concert Beppe will team up with Yann Falquet, guitarist and singer of the beloved Québec band Genticorum.
The concert will be a journey through the music and stories of the two artists' multicolored world and will focus particularly on repertoire from Beppe's latest project, Terra Madre.
Terra Madre (Mother Earth) is a musical key to open a world of tales and dreams related to the motherlands of infinite possible itineraries, and to the cries of pain and hope that rise from them. A core concept of the new CD is to assert the "right to dream," to seek consolation and refuge from a hostile and sometimes brutal reality. “Right to dream” is intended not as pure escape but it represent also the duty of the artist to dream a positive future as a source of hope that helps us to survive and find motivation to move forward through adversities.
