At BARN OPERA, we want you to be swept away by the romance, double over with laughter at the comedy, cry your eyes out at the tragedy, but none of those emotional responses can happen without a sense of safety and security. Therefore, at BARN OPERA...
Your safety is our top priority
Below is a list of safety measures we will have in place to ensure that safety and health are preserved for both audience and artist alike:
Every artist that will be performing will be coming from a safe countyin the states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, as defined by the Vermont department of health, and will be required to self-quarantine at home for 14 days before entering Vermont, or 7 days before, with a valid (no more than 3 days old) negative COVID-19 test result.
Every artist will enter Vermont in a private vehicle
The artists will be no fewer than 20 ft from the first audience member, considering the prospected aerosol transmission of the virus is enhanced with operatic singing. While we will take every precaution to ensure no artist enters the state with the virus, we still feel it prudent to provide this extra level of protection.
When not performing, the artists will have a facial covering or mask on.
There will be assigned seating for the audience, accessed by determined foot traffic flow.
MASKS OR FACIAL COVERINGS WILL BE REQUIRED, AND ADMISSION WILL BE DENIED WITHOUT PROPER ADHERENCE TO THIS REGULATION.
Sanitized tables will be provided for family units of 2 or more, socially-distant single seats will be provided for singular audience members.
Hand sanitizing stations will be available in multiple locations, and available upon request.
The barn is an airy barn already, and to increase ventilation, doors will be opened to increase airflow.
All admittance to the barn and any "at the door" tickets will be available with a marked 6 ft queue.
Any refreshment available for purchase will be contact-free, and will require a credit card or another virtual payment method.
WE WILL FOLLOW ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL GUIDELINES TO ENSURE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THIS EVENT.
FOR ANY QUESTION ABOUT THESE GUIDELINES, OR TO MAKE FURTHER SAFETY SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL US AT BARNOPERA@GMAIL.COM!
